Getting inspired from "other songs" is nothing uncommon in Bollywood. Many a composer at some point of time or the other have been alleged of "lifting" tunes. These days the accusations are more frequent. Its just not about "getting inspired", but in the name of inspiration, entire song tune itself gets lifted and no credit is given to the original composer/singer. Many or most of these songs become super duper chartbusters.
But these days it is just not songs that get lifted but many a classic song gets 'remixed" . Lovely retro songs now get played on TV, FM Radio stations, discos and in the paanwala shops with the extra modern hip hop techno beats and illegible raps as Remix songs. The song which used to appeal to many a older generation for its lyrics or tune or arrangement, now is history. In its place we have something called a "remix" . The soul of the song gets butchered beyond recognition in this Remix process. The videos of the same songs, the less we talk of them the better. Some of us are outraged by this Remix rage, but many support it saying old songs are made popular by giving them the modern touch. But is it really making old songs popular or is it something else..
As if remix wasnt bad enough, nowadays we have remake of classic films too. The stories are given a little twist and a claim that the film is being reproduced to pay tribute to the original maker or actors is publicly announced. But in reality isn't this so calle dtribute actually is butchering the original movie in the name of tribute ?
So which option between lifted tunes, remixed album and remade claasic films is least appealing to you and why? Please share your views.

If i hv to take into consideration the word "appealing" then i wont associate it with copying or inspirations... those i feel is unethical.
As for remake or remix...sorry but they no way appeal me. and video's.... far worse. Remixes mostly butcher the original song...with some weird sounds added.. some english phrases added with more extra effects...
In the field of art and creativity....its always the original creations that appeals more........originals will get more appreciation than any other. be it remix or remake or inspired ones.

Remake of Classic Movies ^^^ this is something which does'nt interest me and i believe should not b done paying tribute yaar don't remake it and that would b the biggest tribute u would do for the makers of that movie U actually do the postmortem of the movie with all sorts of equipments and then come up with something weird. Sorry to say but i seriously did not like karzz & i so very much wished it had not been done again. Not that Himesh was bad, but i would not even want Ranbir Kapoor to play the role of monty. I believe the way Mr. Rishi Kapoor had done it, no one else can actually do it that better. So a strict no for remakes.
Above comment is my POV, if i have hurt anyone then i sincerely apologise

We think alike Priety . Remix songs do make a good timepass. Infact I tried to download and listen to original songs too. But it became boring , so switched to remix songs again......videos are horrible and god knows when will some Censor board for these videos come in force...
