Saw 'Wake Up Sid' yesterday... I had earlier posted a mail on the female version of 'Iktara' composed by Amit Trivedi and sung by Kavita Seth and Amitabh Bhattacharya which was mind-blowing. In the movie there is also a male version which is absolutely brilliant - the voice literally hits you. Unfortunately, the version doesn't find a place on the CD - nor is the singer mentioned in the end-credits. From the Net, I discover the singer is Tochi Raina, who also sang 'Bulleh Shah' in the 'A Wednesday' OST and 'O Pardesi' in 'Dev D'. Wonder why there is no mention of him, and why the song doesn't feature on the CD... Oversight or some silly politics?

Thanks Naren Bhai for the name of the singer. Yes the male version is simply brilliant. Few of us were looking desperately for the song. The album did not have any nor the tracks for the film posted on different sites had this track.
Finally we took the video and recorded the male version. I am waiting for the DVD to come so that I can record a better quality one. Here's what we have with us now.

Naren ji, thanks to you... I am in love with this song and somehow my day begins with this song as well as Sukran Allah from Kurbaan... Such melodies are a welcoming change in midst of so many meaningless songs being composed these days..
