Mumbai, Jan 15: Veteran Ghazal singer Talat Aziz's new music album titled 'Caravan -E - Ghazal' was released here last evening.

Another ace playback singer of Hindi movies, Sonu Nigam unveiled this album.

Nigam, who has shared a one of the tracks with Aziz in the album, mesmerized the audience with the renditions.

"I can say that I am just an assistant or a helper in this album. I have heard this album and I really liked it. There are all types of music in the industry but space for good music is still empty. So I really want this 'Caravan -E-Ghazal' to fill that empty space," said Nigam.

Eminent artistes and several Bollywood actors like Padmini Kolhapure and Poonam Dhillon were present at this impressive event.

Talking to media persons, Dhillon said that the splendour of Ghazal has still not vanished from the industry. It generally comes into limelight in meaningful scenes.

"Ghazals, I won't say really have gone away. They, I think, are more into the background and where there is a meaningful kind of a scene, where your words are important, a Ghazal comes into play," said Dhillon.

Talat Aziz is a veteran Bollywood singer who began his career in 1979 with his fist Ghazal album. He also sang Ghazals in films like 'Umrao Jaan' and 'Bazaar', which were super-hit.

Aziz released many popular albums like 'Talat Aziz Live', 'Lehren', 'Ehsaas', 'Suroor', 'Manzil', 'Saughaat', 'Dhadkan', 'Irshaad' among others. (ANI)
