Jagjit singh cancelled all his pending shows in USA and headed back to India yesterday..His son passed away some years back..this is really sad.

Chitra Singh's daughter commits suicide

29 May 2009, 1703 hrs IST, IANS

MUMBAI: Ghazal singer Chitra Singh's daughter hanged herself to death at her home in Mumbai, the police said on Friday.

According to police, Monica Choudhary's body was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her suburban home on Friday afternoon.

Monica, 46, was Chitra's daughter from her first marriage before she married famous ghazal singer Jagjit Singh.

Deputy commissioner of police N Kaushik said: "As per our preliminary investigations, she had a troubled life and was in a state of depression."

A few years ago, Jagjit and Chitra Singh's son was killed in a road accident.

Kaushik said that Monica's husband, and Jagjit and Chitra Singh are currently abroad.

Yes read it. Its sad. The couple was already under tremendous mental trauma after their son's death.

Hope they get the strength to cope with the situation.

This is extremely sad.. I have no pity for those committing suicide.. Every problem has a solution and one should fight with the circumstances rather than ending life. They are basically selfish, don't think about their loved ones.. Feel bad for the couple.. They would be going through a trauma.. May god give them strength to fight with this situation!!
