In this thread we shall discuss music of SEL. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sikanadar is the new album of SEL and we shall try to evaluate the music . I have listened to Dhoop ke sikke only but shall update thread very soon.
DHoop ke sikke is typically SEL ish with rock flavour, good melody and nice lyrics, over all a nice song.

this one is real gem, I think no one uses guitar better than them at the moment, now look at the effect from acoustic, lead and bass guitar with sprinkling of distortion and wawa. Perhaps one of the best from Shaan.

Did any one notice the songs of shortcut ; con is on? I had opportunity to see this film yesterday. While the film is a big let down (total waste of time) music is OK in patches. Some where one feels SEL are not in their best form. This sort of music they have done before. There is not new to offer inthe whole album as such. Two songs; marezee mohabbat and koi ye na jana are sweet but in a film with no script they lose steam. Other songs ca n be ignored. About orchestra arrangement SEL must take care of dhol obsession, in certain parts of koi ye na jana it becomes so harsh that it upsets the whole arrangement. Otherwise it is fine. SEL have made too many songs recently inspired by raag yaman kalyna resulting in obvious similarity.
