This is a rare footage of Pt Bhimsen Joshiji.... its a home recording.. a private baithak u can say. Panditji is singing raag mian ki malhar... one in which he was the exponent, the supreme master i would say. And its of 1964...when he was in his prime.
I had the opportunity to hear the maestro at close... and the experience is something which can never be put down in words.
An amazing video....and i thought the best gift we can give u both!
Thats is what I have to say for this gift. I am left speechless!!!! What a performance and what a treat to hear it while watching it too.
He is great. Just beyond words. I have always liked his bhajans and have many collections too besides of M S Subbulakshmi. They both had the capacity to bring divine feeling into their singing.
