The curtain has come down on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 and at the end of it all, Mumbai’s Vaishali Made has emerged triumphant. It’s a double whammy for the Mumbaikar as earlier she’d won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi.Vaishali's win also puts an end to the lean period for female contestants on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. The last two winners have all been males.

Another man who is smiling is Vaishali’s mentor Himesh Reshammiya. For the second successive year, we have a winner from Rock gharana.

For the second year running, Akshay Kumar announced the winner. Yashita Sharma finished second while Soumen Nandi finished third.

The grand finale was held at Mumbai’s historical site ‘The Gateway of India’ which was privy to some ugly scenes during the 26/11 Mumbai carnage. This was Zee TV’s way to pay tribute to the victims of the terror attack.

Dance India Dance replaces Sa Re Ga Ma Pa from 30 January and will air at 9.30 pm.

Well thats tough to say yet happy a gal won! n she was thebest singer amongst the three so im sure many gave her votes:) Also, HR was her mentor n whether some like him or not he has loyal voters so her winning was a great possibility has he is Zee's Sa Re Ga Pa's most loyal member lol, she also got a great stage show,with many stars plugging her...n Anil Kapoor Promoting his movie with A.R's song! N I am sure politicians help her too, n the list goes on so there are many reasons on her winning...N Im sure many our happy she won too
